Greetings and welcome to a Wednesday edition of the Shotgun Start. It is March 15th. Andy, how are we doing?

I'm doing great. This is a day that I've been looking forward to talking about for years and years and years.

I mean, the Bears, what an off season they are putting together. They are the story of the NFL, and I'm writing it about the majority of this podcast to talking about them.

We could do that. The Valspar Championship, Bears Off Season moves, you know, even popping by my alma mater here for a lack of basketball prowess, but I would note this off season that you're so excited about.

The General Manager of the Bears is a proud, also a former alum of my institution, so he's delivering you this joy.

So you might as well, you know, pipe down a little bit about BC and our lack of basketball program.

So why are you so excited? They're making some good signings. We don't really need to get too in depth, but what do you fire up on?

Number one pick trade. The trade.

You know, the trade, we got this, we got to do receiver. It's better than anything we were going to get out of the open market.

And then people, you know, like, it's like the guys better stud than a fell. It's like, oh, they gave away a first round pick form.

It's like, you hope your first round pick is as good as he has been, you know?

And now they're just making moves. They had all this cash. They basically punted last year. It was great.

Last year worked out so good. Lovey Smith gifted us this first pick.

You know, we should put a statue up for him or at least have a Lovey Smith day.

That's that should happen because he's gotten us all this stuff. And, uh, and now we've got all this cap space.

Some people, how do they have all this cap space? We didn't feel that it felt teemless.

So, you know, we've got all this body and now we're spending it. And, uh, we've got, they made all these moves yesterday.

And we still have like half the cap space that we had to burn. Like if they still, if they had, they have like 50 billion dollars left to spend.
