I heard Eckhart Toley say something recently that stopped me in my tracks.

It was so simple and so powerful.

I had to share it with you, my gorgeous pod listener. This is what he said.

I don't do a lot of useless thinking. That's it. I don't do a lot of useless thinking. Now,

if you listen to the research, the data on this is very, very clear. It's something like

90 to 95% of our thoughts every single day. The average person has 60,000, between 90 and 95%

are recycled. They are repetitive. They're guilt-based, their anxiety-based, they're worry-based.

It's all about status. Are we going to be safe?

I mean, you get it, right?

You're a human being with the brain and all of those thoughts.

But what Eckhart said was this, I don't do a lot of useless thinking, meaning he frankly

mind is a drama queen. Just because you feel anxious or scared or angry or jealous doesn't mean

that it is rooted in truth. It may be

honest for you. Absolutely. Feel your feelings. We don't want to skip over them. But useless thinking,

we know that thinking drives our emotions. Useless thinking gets us nowhere. It has no payoff.

If you just check your thoughts today as you go throughout the day, they are

racing, they are in their many tens of thousands, as we know. Can you think, is this a useful thought?
