I of course don't know if they're true or false the vast majority of them. I just do this for your entertainment so please don't be

too upset if something on here is totally wrong I have a bunch here from one website that for some reason I forgot to include in my notes for this show

Well either way I'll probably include the link on the show notes but with that in mind let's read fact number one.

October comes from the Latin word octo which means 8.

In ancient Rome October was the 8th month of the year.

When the Gregorian calendar was adopted it became the 10th month of the year but it has

retained its original name. The birthstones for October are Opel and Tormaline.

Tormaline.

I'm not sure how'd pronounce that stone.

Uples are, maybe it's O-Pals. I'm going to call O-Pall.

I'm going to call O-Powes.

O-Powls are considered to be the traditional birthstone,

and they symbolize hope.

Tormaline is a modern birthstone for October.

Both gemstones come in a wide variety of colors and are known for displaying multiple colors within the same stone.

Obviously I didn't know that those were the breath stones for that month because I am fairly confident I butcher their names.

Just as I'm about to do for the flower for the month, which is the Colangelo.

Another name for this flower is the Pot Marrygold.
