If you are listening to this, I would like to think that you may be looking to improve your life in some way. Any time we are looking to grow as people we need to learn from others. In my case, I had mentors growing up and even to this day. It's an essential part of growing. But I know a lot of people may struggle in finding the right mentor or maybe don't know how to go about asking someone they admire to coach them. Use this strategy to work with the mentor of your dreams.

0:45.0	I feel like it's a waste of five years. That's just my, you can, some of you might get offended by that.
0:49.4	But I think college has just gone in the wrong direction.
0:52.2	I see these kids getting out of college with $100,000 in debt and they learn how to memorize shit.
0:57.7	Then they come for job applications and I hire in the last, I don't know, and it's not everybody.
1:03.6	I got some great people that went to college too, but based on values and hunger, I think there's so much more.
1:11.2	But my whole point is, I don't want my kids to be someone who doesn't go to college and sits around and hopes to get a job.
1:16.7	No, no, no, no. I told my kids they have two options.
1:20.1	College or they have to research, they take a gap year and research what I go and work in different places to find out what they like, what they could be passionate about, what inspires them.
1:31.3	And then once they figure that out, they have a year to figure that out, then they have to go search out the best person in that field.
1:37.3	They want to be an architect, find the best architect on the planet.
1:40.2	You want to be an engineer, you want to be, you know, maybe that takes schooling, but you want to be, you want to be in fashion design.
1:47.2	Go find somebody amazing, and you have to work for them for free for at least a year, and then the second year, if you need to, do it a second year.
1:57.5	And find a mentor, someone they can kick ass for and learn from somebody already playing the game at the highest level possible.
