Summary
In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast hosts Ryan Abraham, RJ Abeytia and intern India Otto are back in studio breaking down the what they saw and heard from the first two weeks of USC spring football practice. Head coach Lincoln Riley and the Trojans held seven workouts over the first couple weeks of practice including four in full pads. With 31 true freshman and a handful of transfers and a few new coaches joining the program, it was a great opportunity for everyone to come together, try to get on the same page and really work towards building a winning squad for 2026.
The crew was at all six practices that were open to the media, including a full practice viewing period on Friday before the team headed into spring break. They discuss everything they saw and heard from the workouts and give their take on how new defensive coordinator Gary Patterson has advanced the defense, who some of the standout players were, true freshmen and transfers that stood out and lots more.
