Summary
In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast hosts Ryan Abraham and Connor Morrissette (aka "Triple-Double") return on what has become the "traditional" National Signing Day, the first Wednesday in February. The Trojans have already secured the No. 1 ranked high school recruiting class for 2026 and aren't expected to add any new names today, but the guys will discuss 247Sports' updated rankings that jumped several of the new USC football faces up the board.
They also breakdown what they learned from this week's media roundtable with head coach Lincoln Riley and general manager Chad Bowden. Both Riley and Bowden sat down with reporters discussing the Trojans roster, giving insight into the different position groups, depth at critical spots and how some of the new additions can contribute early.

| 0:00.0 | From the heart of Big Ten country, Los Angeles, California, Ryan Abraham, and David Woods present the podcast of champions. |
| 0:12.4 | Oh, Trojan fans, welcome to another edition of the Peristal podcast. |
| 0:24.2 | I'm your host, Ryan Abraham, in studio live with my friend Connor Morissette, fellow we call us mass holes. I don't want to say that, |
| 0:30.4 | but yes, from Massachusetts, covered USC football. We got a lot of roster talk today, but welcome and Connor on national signing day. |
| 0:40.3 | It was, we used to call it National Letter of Intent Day. Used to be a big deal, Connor, back in the day. |
| 0:45.2 | I don't know. I don't even remember that, but this was a big deal this day. Oh, I remember when I was |
| 0:48.9 | in college, it was a huge day, and I worked a lot on that Tuesday night before the big Wednesday. So yeah, I get it. |
| 0:57.0 | And it certainly changed where now the early signing period in December, that's the new |
| 1:01.7 | signing day pretty much. But anyone who didn't sign then can sign now. I don't even know out of all |
| 1:07.2 | the top guys who didn't sign in December. But if they didn't, they can today. |
| 1:11.9 | And USC doesn't really have anyone in that boat. |
| 1:15.3 | They already pretty much have everyone in that class already on campus. |
| 1:17.9 | So forget about signing, not signing. |
| 1:20.9 | A lot has changed. |
| 1:22.1 | But yeah, I do kind of miss that old signing day because it was just a little bit easier to keep track of |
| 1:29.7 | everything having the one day. Yes. First Wednesday in February. It was a huge day. Yeah. |
| 1:35.2 | It was like a holiday. And now it kind of sucks. And with coaching changes too. Like you kind of |
| 1:39.8 | feel bad for guys who sign and then immediately the coach leaves like at Michigan. I know that's a bit of a different situation, but we saw a bunch of guys sign up to play for Sharon Moore and then he leaves like, was it the next day or a couple days after? Yeah, not long. It's tough that that overlaps with the coaching carousel, but that's the way it's going right now. Our sport is awesome. |
| 2:19.6 | Our calendar is terrible. So I think they're going to try to fix it. We got to get the calendar a little bit better. But this was a fun day, National Letter Rintente. We used to have parties, all kinds of stuff. Now it doesn't really matter. Like 32 dudes are already enrolled in school at USC for the class of 2026. So I want to get back to the old ways if we can do that. |
| 2:18.0 | We're back in our old ways on the podcast. We're back again. If you have |
