Amid intense scrutiny on USAID, the Trump administration is making deep cuts, now reducing

staff from more than 10,000 to under 300. Most employees are being put on administrative leave

or terminated, and at the same time, hundreds of aid contracts are being

canceled. Secretary of State Marco Rubio is now overseeing USAID and says the move is necessary

to regain control of the agency, which he claims is full of, quote, rank and subordination.

The U.S. economy added 143,000 jobs in January, and the unemployment rate ticked down to 4%, signaling a slowdown but continued strength in the economy.

These will be the last job numbers attributed to the Biden administration.

Just weeks after the collision of a passenger jet with a Black Hawk helicopter, the Trump administration is pushing for an

overhaul of the nation's air traffic control system.

President Donald Trump is blaming last week's deadly mid-air collision near Washington, D.C.,

on what he calls an obsolete air traffic control system.

Speaking at the National Prayer Breakfast, Trump vowed to push for a complete overhaul,

saying the U.S. has spent billions trying to fix a broken system instead of replacing it.

Federal officials have long warned about air traffic controller shortages and aging technology.
