one. So thank you for that. It's the most I had. Maybe I'll still, but I've got some residuals from the World Cup win earlier today. I saw you dig deep for that one. Yeah. I saw it. this morning. The US men lost 1-0 to Mexico in the Gold Cup final. They did indeed. In

between those two games, we did watch Brazil beat Peru in the Copa Medical final. We'll talk about that a little bit at the end of this show. We're going to be focusing primarily on the USA's 101 lost to Mexico. So we'll end with the host nation that won the tournament. There we go. Perfect. So obviously we'll talk tactics because a lot of tactical changes. Obviously we'll talk the goal, the Jonathan Dostanto's goal. What's our immediate sort of emotional reaction to this? With the sort of, what, 45 minutes or so since, or much longer, since the game ended now that we've settled down a little bit? I mean, now that we settle down a little bit? We did head on desk for a little bit. How are we feeling now? I think I would say I'm still sort of confused is I think the best way I can put it with a slight tinge of frustration on there because I felt like even though Mexico got a couple chances in the first half it seemed like the United States were executing the game plan playing the game they wanted to be playing causing problems and had what like I think ended up having better expected goals, but certainly had that in the first 45.

Expected goals was like 1.62 to 1.12 in favor of the United States.

And instead it was 0 to 1.

Yeah.

And I think even like the first couple minutes of the second half, still okay.

But then I think the kind of really precipitous drop off in the second half. It's a cliff. Yeah, it makes it really difficult to understand exactly what happened. We've gone back and rewatched as we do. We've read quotes. We've watched the Greg Burrhalter Press conference. So we have some ideas. But I still say at the end, I'm just sort of like confused and a little bit. Not depressed. Depress is too harsh. But it was just sort of like, I thought we had them and then we didn't.

Yeah.

And we did see progress throughout the tournament.

The US paid a bit more like the Bayhunter style.

But I think we learned tonight that we're not as far as long as we need to be to beat a team like Mexico. and I would say, I would double down on this and say

Tatamartino, not only

out-coached Bearhunter tonight

with in-game decisions, which we'll

get into in-game decisions,

which we'll get into in lots of detail,

but I think he also out-coach Bearhalter in terms of his Mexico team is more,

it's further along and more accustomed to the Tatamartino style of play
