All right, so glad you're there. I'm in Washington, D.C., out of the snow, but I do feel bad that my family is

once again digging out, but this time of 30 inches largest snowstorm since 1996. And if you're

not in the Northeast, you're saying, Brian, don't talk about the weather. I won't, but I will say

a lot of people are in the Northeast and they're trying to work their way through it. But it means

I think the ratings will be in higher for the state of the union tonight. At 20 minutes after, I'll talk about

Republicans trying to gain momentum. Chairman Joe Gruders has taken over for taking over the RNC.

Let's see if he can get that momentum going. Very few people know President Trump better than

Larry Kudlow, who worked in the

first administration. He's going to be with us in studio, so that'll be great. And Senator Joni Ernst is

standing by. Sadly, she's going to finish out her term and not come back. She would have skated to

six more years. She's on armed services, Homeland Security, and Chairman of Emerging Threats and

capabilities, and rural development and Rural Development and Energy.

Senator, first off, what is your feeling right now about what the stakes are at the State of the Union?

I think the President's got to regain momentum, don't you think?

I do think that, Brian.

And I am excited to hear his message tonight because we know that Americans

want to hear more about the economy. They want to hear about affordability and his efforts in that

area. They also want to hear about the successes we've had in this first year of the new Trump administration of having a much safer nation and a stronger nation.

So, Brian, if we talk about affordability, you know the state of Iowa really well.

The Iowans that I talked to, they are concerned about energy costs.
