Welcome in to first things first overtime. I'm Danny Parkins in World's Cup Corner, joined by

former U.S. men's national team midfielder, Dax McCarty, and we are closely monitoring the U.S.

Australia game. The vibes, as you can tell by the jacket, are very good right now. The U.S.

is up to nothing at the moment. We are not going to go full postgame until it's official.

So let's start with Christian Policic. The story of the game coming in,

was the star player for the U.S. Meds national team going to be available? He was not.

Manager Mauricio Pochitino announced Polisic would be out about 90 minutes ahead of kickoff.

Yet, you know, Ricardo Pepe gets the nod in the starting lineup. There's a lot of debate about whether or not it would be Raina, who would fill in for that spot. Sure. But the U.S. kind of picks up exactly where they left off. This is now a full game without Polisic after another half without Polisic against Paraguay. What did you make of how the U.S. played after getting this news about Policic? Well, first of all, I'm not surprised that Christian Polisic did not play in this game.
