A court in the United States has sentenced a white teenager to life in prison without parole

for killing 10 Black people at a supermarket in Buffalo in New York State last May.

Investigators discovered Paton Gendron had researched the racial makeup of the neighborhood

online before the massacre. At the sentencing, angry relatives of victims confronted the teenager.

One man even charged towards him. Judge Susan Egan told him he would receive no clemency.

There can be no mercy for you, no understanding, no second chances.

The damage you have caused is too great and the people you have hurt are too valuable to this community.

You will never see the light of day as a free man ever again.

It is the judgment of this court for your conviction under the first count of the indictment.
