U.S. warplanes are back in Iraq.

Two American fighter jets drop bombs on mobile artillery in northern Iraq today to protect nearby

U.S. personnel from forces of the Islamic State. Other American planes dropped humanitarian aid

for tens of thousands of religious refugees, and the president has authorized further strikes

if needed.

He continues to promise no boots on the ground.

Later on our program, blacks, Latinos, and Asians are half the audience for the movies,

but almost always the straight white man saves the day.

Why doesn't Hollywood show its audience more heroes who look like them?

American planes have dropped food, water, and medical supplies to Iraqis fleeing the ultra-fundamentalist Islamic State.

There have also been U.S. airstrikes against some ISIS forces, but the President still says no boots on the ground.

Later on, Hollywood heroes don't reflect the ethnic minorities who make up half the audience for the movies.

Blacks, Asians, and especially Latinos don't even get minor speaking roles in proportion to their numbers.
