Summary

This week Seth and Bill take a look at United States Navy submarine special operations in the Pacific during World War II. Beginning during the fall of the Philippines in 1942, American subs carried in ammunition and supplies while simultaneously ferrying out military and civilian personnel. Until October 1944, submarine special ops in the Philippine area kept the local Filipino guerillas in supply and retrieved invaluable intel. The guys also talk about USS Trout's famous "gold run" and the recovery of Japanese ADM Koga's Z Plan. 0:44.1	You know, the funny thing is, as we're recording it, this week, the Lockwood episode aired.

0:51.0	My wife, Karen, said that I was more animated than normal during that episode.
0:54.6	So we're going to do another summary and episode today. I'm wondering,
1:01.9	should I dial it down a bit? No. No. Okay. No. Dile it up to 11, as I say, in Spine and Tap.
1:04.0	Bring it up to 11. It goes up to 11. That's right. We're both thinking of the same movie there, Seth. And by the way,
1:11.9	we just came back from a trip to san diego on the midway where we saw a few of our uh our viewers and listeners
1:19.9	and boy did i enjoy that set that was awesome yeah i agree uh johns obviously is not here with
1:26.4	us today but he was there with us on that trip.

1:51.5	but one couple flew all the way from tampa to san i can't believe they got the award to somebody
1:56.2	one of our friends flew from canada but he's a friend. Yeah, he's a good. He's a dude.
