Well, after Alaska, Washington, and this time not two leaders across the table but a multitude,

the following Europeans have said they want to be there with Zelensky.

Mertz, Macron, Starrma, Maloney, Vondylion, Finland's president, the NATO Secretary General.

Many of them have been making public statements in the last few hours.

So let's begin with the man who really ultimately has to take all the decisions for Ukraine, President Zelensky.

Today, he said the war could only end if he sat down with presidents Putin and Trump.

Since the territorial issue is so important, it should be discussed only by the leaders of Ukraine and Russia at the trilateral, Ukraine, United States, Russia.

So far, Russia gives no sign that trilateral will happen. And if Russia refuses, then new

sanctions must follow. New sanctions must follow. Well, the Ukrainian leader was speaking

shortly after his meeting with the President of the European Commission,

Ursula von der Leyen. She said more sanctions are on the table.

As long as the bloodshed in Ukraine continues, Europe will maintain diplomatic and in particular

economic pressure on Russia. We will continue to strengthen sanctions. We have adopted 18 packages

so far and we are advancing preparation for the 19th. This package will be forthcoming in early September.

Well, one man who was in the room with Presidents Putin and Trump in Alaska was Mr. Trump's envoy, Steve Whitkoff.

On Sunday morning, he spoke to CNN and outlined a key development during the summit.

We agreed to robust security guarantees that I would describe as game-changing.

We didn't think that we were anywhere close to agreeing to Article 5 protection from the United

States, legislative enshrinement within the Russian Federation not to go after any other

territory when the peace deal is, you know, codified legislative enshrinement
