I'm Tim Franks. And it is a measure, perhaps, of how far the world order has been shaken,

that a visit by two of Donald Trump's top officials to Paris to talk, in the first instance, about Ukraine,

how that visit is seen as significant, as perhaps the sign of a shift, because what was once

so unremarkable that the US and Europe might have common cause and a common approach in trying

to end Russia's war in Ukraine is no longer a given.

So how far could just the presence of the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio,

and the special envoy Steve Wickhoff, denote a desire to dial up the pressure on Moscow?
