U.S. and Iranian officials have returned to the negotiating table.

At the same time, an American armada, as President Trump calls it, is being deployed nearby.

The escalation between Iran and United States can get quickly to a very, very dangerous stage.

I'm Carolyn Beeler, what both sides are seeking in this new round of talks,

and the firestorm caused by the Epstein Files has now reached across the Atlantic to Europe and

10 Downing Street in Britain.

The victims of Epstein have lived with trauma that most of us can barely comprehend.

This is the world. I'm Carolyn Beeler. Thank you for being with us today. We start in the Gulf country of Oman, where officials from Iran and the U.S. met earlier today to discuss

Iran's nuclear program. The top line out of today's meeting

is that the talks are going to continue. These negotiations come at a time of great tensions

between the two sides. The world Shrin Jafari has been following all of this. Sharin,

can you set the scene for us who all was there? Yeah, so Iranian foreign minister Abbas Arakchi and his team,

along with the Omani officials, from the U.S. envoy Steve Wittkov and President Trump's son-in-law,

Jaya Kushner, were there. This was not a face-to-face meeting. Sure, and does that mean that

two camps are like in different rooms and the Omani officials are going back and forth between them, delivering messages back and forth?

From what we saw in the photos and the footage that came out, the two sides are not in the same room, but we don't know what happens behind the scenes.

And there is a lot to consider when it comes to the optics for these sides when they're negotiating.

They have to be careful about who they shake hands with, who they're photographed with.

So there's a lot to consider here.
