Hello and welcome to the rest is football with me Garrelinica, Micah Richards and Alan Sheera. On today's episode we have a special guest with us.

He is probably Britain's best-known football journalist.

A man who's had a long and extremely distinguished career

starting at the Independent in 1986, what a year that was.

He spent 20 plus years at the telegraph before becoming the chief football writer in 2015 at the times.

That stint has just ended. We await the next move with interest. He is of course Henry Winter. Henry

welcome. Thank you. It's fantastic to see you. I've chased you guys around car parks, Alan around golf courses inevitably,

micro across leads, Gary across London so it's nice to sort of have you sort of encased here.

You can't escape. Now this is a little bit different.

We're interviewing you. Yeah, I know. I'm bit scared. Firstly, you know, it came a bit of a shock obviously to us all.

I presume you're already getting a stream of

offers. Not quite a stream. I think there should be a transfer window for

journalists. I've got a couple of things lined up. I go to the Euros which is

the most important thing because

you know my love of this job is well is obviously club football but is England and you look at

this England squad you guys will know better than me you look at at Drew Bellingham's performance, Phil Foy in the performance and we seem to have about sort of five or six, seven, eight players now will happily step up and take a penalty.

And you know, they're just such a good bunch. bunch I didn't want to miss out on this

tournament France and Portugal and you know there's some terrific teams out there

probably Germany might surprise a few ticket on home soil but this England team got a trophy in them and having been to 14 tournaments covering England and sort of you know suffered from afar with you guys.
