| 0:00.0 | So I got my first prediction right for last night's Sunnights main event. |
| 0:22.3 | You should have seen some of the DMs I got. Just because I said I think the baddies will win and Jake Cargill will pin rear Ripley. I mean, you would have thought I slapped somebody's mother. I didn't. Also, my friends, hello and welcome to ups and downs for SMME, 2006 part May. That didn't make any sense. Why did I say that out loud? But given they did just throw it on that television screen, we're going to go through it, give the good bucks and up, the bad bits of down. But as always, when you do watch the Saturday's main event, I think you can't just sit back, get some popcorn and enjoy it for what it is. You're not going it getting any whips bangs mejangs it's just kind of going to be there to give you some nice wrestling, and that's basically what it achieved. Let's up those doubts. But it didn't mean it was Ria Ripley, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, and we can't get on, take it on the baddies, Jake Cargill, Meach and a B-Fab. And my two favorite things about this is we weren't pure 80s at the start, because Ria Ripley and Jay Caga were going to lock up. Jay went, no, I'm not interested. |
| 0:55.9 | But also, I thought this was so much fun to... 80s at the start because Ria Ripley and Jay Caga were going to lock up. Jay went, |
| 1:12.7 | no, I'm not interested. But also, I thought this was so much fun to watch. And Meachin especially was like, oh man, you're going to give me some time in the ring. I'm going to whoop some airs. I thought she looked very, very good. Crown was so into this as well to the point, even when mitchin tied in, they just went, boo, boo. They couldn't believe this would happen, |
| 2:03.8 | and they couldn't believe that Charlotte Flair once she got in there and threw some bones, got her ass kicked by everyone. Jay Caggart was being a dingback on the outside. And I think they were totally good as well. No one is ever going to tag in again. Charlotte Flair is totally screwed. Then she tagged in Rio Rip Ria Rippley went wild. I want to throw a shout out to Alexa Bliss as well because being the Keep Them Together person, if that's the right terminology, to try and make sure Charlotte and Ria stay on the same page. It's just so much fun to watch as well. And of course, Ria and Ripley beat everybody up and Alexa Bliss beat people up and Charlotte Flair beat people up and the other people came in and they took down the baby faces. Then Charlotte Flair came off the top with a crossbody. It was just there to make the crowd go wow. Meach and eventually hit the Stiles clash as well. And A.J. Stiles has now said 47,699 times he does not care if anybody use his moves. and also actually does play into WWB Law, because Mitch and AJ Stiles used to be buddies. |
| 2:18.4 | And, of course, the big payoff was ria rippley and j cargill finally smacking each other in the face but also at that point ria and charlotte worked together they threw bfab and mitchin around and this did kind of make me laugh because alexa bliss was over the moon. She ran in there and they did a big hug. |
| 2:20.7 | It's like, guys, the match is still going on. |
| 2:33.8 | And Jay was like, yeah, that was stupid. She mugged all of them off. She hit the flip in. What's it called? The Jay did. How did I forget that? On Torrea Ripley the Women's Champion. And she got the one, two, three. So now, of course, we go into clash in Italy, go, oh my gosh, she pinned her there. |
| 2:35.1 | Maybe she can pin her again. |
| 2:36.3 | I mean she won't. |
| 2:37.8 | But it's wrestling booking 101. |
| 3:57.7 | Desmondationation. So now, of course, we go into Clash in Italy, go, oh my gosh, she pinned her there. Maybe she can pin her again. I mean she won't, but it's wrestling booking 101. This is all you need to do. She really enjoyed this and thought it was an excellent opener in the sense the fans were so into it and it just got them warmed up. I bet they were like, oh, man, I'm so pleased I've come to the wrestling on a Saturday night. I am going to give it an up and I suppose there was maybe teasing that Ria and Charlotte could potentially fall out again, even though they were buddies at the end. It's probably something to keep an eye on. Because SNME was on Peacock and YouTube as well, we actually got some backstage promos. There were still a bunch of adverts, but it was nowhere near as aggressive. So here was Ethan Page basically saying, man, it's going to be a great night for everybody's career, my career, the Intercontinental Titles career, your career, the fans career, because I will become the Intercontinental Champion, and that's the big deal. Small spoiler, he was lying. It was not his turn though, because first of all, we weren't going to do Becky Lynch versus Sol Ruka. I don't really understand what this was trying to achieve. They got five minutes and then we had a pretty weird finish. Let's just talk about the elephant in the room because it's all everybody wants to talk about. Yes, everything Sol Ruka has come to the main roster and Monday Night Raw. the Soul Snatcher hasn't gone to plan, but I do not think we need to throw the baby out with a bathwater here. You can't forget how successfully she hit it in NXT for what, three years, whatever the flub it was. Maybe she's nervous, maybe something went wrong. And actually here on this night, basically what happened is Becky Lynch pulled the referee, |
| 4:02.1 | who yes, was Jessica Carr, and I bet we get to Becky versus Jess eventually in the way. |
| 4:06.0 | And I think when Sol was going through the Soul Snatch, she was like, I don't have a lot of room here. |
| 4:11.6 | I can't rotate and do a Spillingly Winnery. So she kind of just sort of whack Jessica Carr in the head with her leg. But the commentator has covered for her, Michael Cole was like, well, I don't think she entirely got all of it. It's still not great and it's still not ideal in the sense. We know she can do that move. So you want to make sure she does showcase it in front of more people, but shit happens. Excuse my language, especially our young viewer, but that is the truth. Some of the stuff you read online, you're crazy. You just know eventually she'll smash it fine as well, then all of a sudden we will be off for the races. And I'm actually much more concerned, which is not the right word at all, not like a father yelling at their child. But one, I just think so rude to use on Raw, since she was called up. It's so strange, it's like lost, lost, loss, and this one ended in the disqualification. |
| 4:48.4 | You also have the fact this kind of nonsense happens in all wrestling matches and sometimes referees don't care. And also after the fact, Adam Pierce is like, well, Becky, you shouldn't have done that. So now you will defend your icy title against Sol Ruka in Italy. If I was I.E. O. Sky, excuse me. I beat Solruca recently. What am I? Chop liver? Unbelievable. |
| 5:07.8 | It was also just really short, so it was an angle match, and I would assume that maybe Sol Ruka does beat Becky Lynch in Italy, but I still think she could have won here too. It comes back to that old question we always ask ourselves, if you're not ready to have us winner, or give us a winner, I should say, why on earth do you book the match? You can't even criticise their work because there was no work. I swear it didn't even go five minutes, and the down is for everything else. Not what happened with the finish. People are allowed to make mistakes, and absolutely, if we do this for another six months and for whatever reason she just can't get it back, then you change it and it would suck, but we'll live to fight another day, but I'm giving it down, it's just a little bit weird, but then I kind of feel like a hypocrite because I like small stuff like this or shorter stuff like this in a show. It doesn't mean WW should stop doing it. It just means on this night, it't for me. Penta then did defend his Intercontinental Championship against Ethan Page. And the best way I can summarize this is one, Ethan Page just not get the credit he deserves. He is so damn good. And surely some people backstage in WW, we're like, man, we've got to do something with this Ethan Page. And as for Penta, once's brilliant we all know that but the way he connects with the crowd I've said this before and I'll say it again one day and it can be a TV program he should be put at the tippity top just to see what happens because you never know page was killing this guy at one point two like he he dropped, kicked him out of the announce table, |
| 6:46.5 | when Penton decided, I don't like your neck and I don't like your back, so he hit a backbreaker and he hit a neck breaker, he's a smart guy. They eventually hit each other with super kicks, because of course it is 2026, and poor Ethan Page then melted down, because not only did he hit Penter with a confidence breaker for a 1-2-oo, That's one of the best they moves going at the moment because it is so dumb. |
| 6:46.5 | He also hit with an avalanche slam, but Penta kicked out again. At this point, Paige is like, you know what, I am not particularly happy right now. I'm going to remove this term pad from the turnbuckle. Refere was like, oh, why do you do this to me? but like a cartoon villain, Ethan went to the other one, and he exposed that too. |
| 7:01.7 | It turns out Pentam must have super ribs. like, oh, why do you do this to me? When like a cartoon villain, Ethan went to the other one, and he exposed that too. |
| 7:06.4 | Now, it turns out Penta must have super ribs or something like that, because he did fly into this, and Ethan Pace hit the most devastating move in all the sports entertainment |
| 7:10.1 | surprise roll-up. The Penta kicked out, Ethan paved them into the steel, because he is a |
