Copenhagen. It feels like morning. My body clock's on 7 a.m. but the local time says 1 p.m.

So I've got that going for me. If you heard the last episode, that was with Paul and Brian.

I am recording this intro minutes after I recorded that one.

So yes, I'm still sleep deprived, and I'm still deliriously rambling.

But I'm getting some work done because I've got a three-hour layover here in Copenhagen before flying Stockholm.

So anyway, this is episode number

105. I'm getting up there now in the numbers. Thanks again to Weems and Plath and Collegro-Marine

for supporting the show. As you'll know, I've been adding details to the website for the trips

It's really nice to hear from everyone that listens to the show. All right, episode number 105. This is another essay episode. It was a business podcast. Like I said in the last intro, I had intended to do these on a different day, but I just don't have enough time for that.

So we're going to do these on Tuesday. This is called Ups and Downs, and it's an essay I wrote.

I'm recording this May 20th, I guess, May 21st.

I don't know what day it is anymore either, but it's an essay I wrote about kind of bringing us up to speed on the East Beeren business with the boat and everything since I wrote that first essay introducing East Bearden.

So ups and downs, meaning we've been $17,000 in the hole on credit card debt.

We're back up around even at this point.

But not just financially, it's been an emotional roller coaster. I've had moments where I've wanted to sell the boat, and I've had moments where I've wanted to quit everything else I do and just focus on the boat. So it's been up and down financially and emotionally, and that's kind of what I get into in this essay. So it kind of brings you up to speed on what's been going on.

A few things still up in the air, which I'll have to say for a future essay, working on insurance, working with the lawyers on getting everything legit and doing some other stuff.

But basically, oh, and of course the refit, which is coming up in September, I have some really, really, really exciting news about that, but I'm not going to say it just yet.

You'll have to wait and see.

Actually, by the time this comes out, it might be public news, but whatever.

Anyway, so this is another kind of emotional episode that I wrote by myself that I read by myself,
