So I need to talk about AW redemption just in general before we do get into.

And as always, whatever your feelings are towards this paperview, good for you. I'm genuinely happy and if you're sad, I'm sad for you, but that's what your brain is telling you. It's perfectly fair. But I really think in 2006, not just with wrestling, but with any single entertainment medium, we've got to get away from this idea of, oh my gosh, it's not the best thing ever. and therefore I'm going to take it and just decide it's the absolute worst.

Because sometimes you just want to sit down and watch a wrestling show, and by the end of it, decide, well, did I have a good time or did I not have a good time? You can still criticise it and you can still be critical. I am not saying that, but just because this may have not have been the greatest thing that ever knocked on your door and went, ah, please make love to me, that doesn't mean it couldn't have just been an okay time or even a good time. And actually, there are a couple of stories on AEW redemption that I think have set up AEW all in very nicely. Also, like my friends, a motor upside down to AEW redemption. The only rest of you show you need, and as always with an AEW pay-per-view, let's just get through the intro, because we have way too much to talk about. It started off with absolute nonsense as well, because we did start with this six-way ladder match to crown a number one contender for the international title, and this kind of ties back to the intro. If you want to talk about the build, which of course we did on AW Dynamite ups and downs or on other videos too, no, it kind of came out of nowhere. And no, it was a little bit strange. But let's say you had dropped your $50. Surely you sat down, watched this. He just looked around and going, these six human beings are totally insane. And given that I know what to expect from an AW ladder match, I'm at least having a pretty good time. I also now feel like speedballed Mike Bailey, L. Clone, the Beast Mortis, Nick Wayne, Jack, Perry and Commander with a K are a bunch of maniacs. Because again, this was just totally insane. People jumping off ladders, people jumping through tables. At one point, we did all the dives to the outside because Mike Bailey had been released from the ring. He went up the ramp where inclined a ladder and did this crazy moon saw off of it. That mother hubbard didn't even look where he was going. Somehow El Cologne even gave a tilt-a-wold to the Beast Mortas, which makes no sense when it comes to physics. And actually, if you wanted to make a case that the Beast Mortis was tremendous in this match, you absolutely could, when Nick Wayne decided, well, I'm going to go up this ladder and I'm going to hit a Phoenix splash through the table. Now again, there's like different swings and wings when you do a Phoenix splash. And even though he had more height than usual, it still looked like he was going to die. And yes, look sure at one point Jack Perry could have grabbed the contract, but instead he decided to do a destroyer wanting Nick Wayne to murder that one. And you can get mad about that. I totally understand it. But let's not pretend that wrestling trope was invented on this day. That's been happening in all wrestling promotions for at least 25 years. You get to the top of the ladder and then you're like, you know what, screw a world championship match. I've decided I want glory dead. It also meant that Bailey and the Beast Mortars with the last two guys. They were probably the most popular two people in it in terms of winning it and being the favourite. That's where Mike Bailey gave this hideous ultimate weapon to the Beast Mortas when he climbed the ladder and he got the contract. And later on too, he said Carl Fletcher. I mean, obviously we had to wait until Carl Fletcher and Bandido was done. I will challenge you at AEW Grand Slam, Mexico. And that match when it is said and done is probably going to be in the bank for one of the best of the year. Somebody's madness is total utter madness. But in terms of kicking off a pay-per-view and just watching something for the chaos and carnage that it had promised, I've got to give it and up. And in terms of six talents in all-leet wrestling, well, once again, they're totally insane. When we move right into Will Osprey and John Moxie taking on the Young Bucks and listen, you knew what to expect from this match. And you don't like this kind of a thing and you sat down to watch it anyway. Now you're ragging on it. I would argue that you are the problem, but even though they were going crazy and hell for leather, this one was all about the story, and I actually

thought it was a very good tell to tell. It's also going to tie in to the end of the show as well, let's not pretend that John Moxley hadn't planted this seed. He had kept saying to Will Osprey and his weird joker riddles. Listen to me. Well, Osprey, my protege, my brand new lover. At some point,

because he took a shot to the head, and we absolutely tied this into the match because he

spilled to the outside, the referee was talking to him, and Matt Jackson was there too,

and really it is on AEW officials, which also will talk about in just one

second when it comes to Will Osprey or John Moxie I suppose, because really this match should have been called off. You know, if you do have a head problem, we should protect the performers. But Matt and Nick Jackson decided, no, we must beat these two. So the flipping thing continued. It's really funny as well because John Moxie did not give a damn and was basically going shrug emoji.
