Police responded to a report of an unconscious person that they received around 11:58 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 13 2022. There in the home, members of the Moscow Police Department found four University of Idaho students brutally murdered on the second and third floors of the apartment. Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, and Xana Kernodle were the deceased roommates who lived in the home while the fourth victim, Ethan Chapin, did not live there but was dating Kernodle and had stayed the night. Two other roommates lived in the home, but were not attacked during the night and police have stated they believe they slept through the murders. As of Dec 30th, 2022 police have made public an arrest of Bryan Christopher Kohberger in connection to the murders. Bryan has been confirmed as a 28 year old PhD student in the department of criminal justice and criminology at Washington State University. Additional details are still pending on his involvement.
