Summary

In Episode 75 of Trace Evidence I examined the case of nine year old Christian Ferguson who had gone missing after the SUV he had been left it was allegedly stolen. Two hours later, when the SUV was located, Christian was nowhere to be found. For many the prime suspect was Christian's own father, Dewan, who had been driving the SUV that morning.

Now, some sixteen years later, charges have finally been filed and Christian will, hopefully soon, receive justice.

0:44.0	which quickly became one of the most disturbing, upsetting, and personally haunting cases I've ever covered.
0:50.0	Christian, who suffered from a metabolic disorder which left him disabled, allegedly vanished on June 11, 2003.
0:58.0	Christian, who was in the custody of his father, Dewan Ferguson, was reportedly left in Dewan's SUV.
1:05.0	Dewan alleged that Christian was having a medical emergency, and so he placed his 9-year-old son in the car and began the drive to the hospital.
1:13.0	However, along the way, Dewan claimed to have stopped the SUV in order to use a payphone to call ahead to the hospital.
1:21.0	It was during this phone call that Dewan alleged the SUV was stolen with Christian still inside.
1:27.0	Later, during the investigation, police would discover no call had been made from that payphone to the hospital.
1:34.0	Two hours after the alleged abduction, Dewan's SUV was located just five miles from the location of the payphone,
1:41.0	parked at the end of a cul-de-sac near Railroad tracks.
1:45.0	Police were immediately suspicious of the story as when the SUV was found only Christian himself appeared to be missing.
1:52.0	Left behind in the vehicle were multiple items of value, including two cell phones, a laptop, and a digital camera,
1:59.0	and yet the disabled 9-year-old was nowhere to be found.
2:03.0	While the search for Christian was thorough and extensive, no trace of the child could be found.
