Hello everyone, Dominic here. Just a quick update on the schedule for the podcast

moving forward. I'm going to have to pause the narrative for a little while. Unfortunately,

there's been a little bit of a family emergency. I won't go into details, but it's serious

and I'm not entirely sure what's happening with it right now. So until I know more, I just

need to pause work on the podcast, basically, because I can't focus on it to my usual standard.

To tidy you over, I'm going to release a couple of talks that I gave for various groups

over the past year. The first one is a little discussion about some of my PhD research,

concerning the northern cities of Avarus and Pyremices. And this is quite useful because it

dovetails with the late 18th dynasty and early 19th dynasty, where the narrative is just about

to start. The second talk is a discussion of general discoveries in ancient Egyptian archaeology

over the past few years and how they change our understanding of history. Hopefully these talks

will be interesting and at least give you some valuable content while I'm away. I'm not sure how

long the break is going to last, but bear with me and I'll update you when I can. Both of these talks

will go out in audio format, obviously, but they are also available on YouTube,

so I'll put links in the episode description if you want to see nice pictures and maps that go

along with them. Thanks for your patience. I realized I left the narrative on a bit of a cliff hanger

at the end of episode 170, but unfortunately life is just in the way a little bit right now,

and I need to focus on that. So I'll be back as soon as I can. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy
