Hi, everyone. Hope you're having a fantastic summer. We're getting close to the return of football in our lives.

Thursday, Hall of Fame game, preseason week one to follow. It's almost back. It's been a very quiet summer for me from a media front, a very busy summer for me from a personal life front.

And this episode might be a little bit disappointing to some listening

as it is uploaded to announce that the podcast will be put on a temporary pause.

I have decided to take a country manager role with a sportsbook operator that is entering

Canada amid Alberta announcing that they will be opening up eye gaming to the public

market in early 2026. There is speculation that BC, Saskatchewan and Manitoba will follow at some

point in the not too distant future. And so there all of the sudden becomes some opportunities

that are quite exciting to me, given that

this is my home and where I'm from and the industry that I know as well as anything that I do in

life. And so there was an operator that reached out that I was very excited to talk with. And we

have come to an agreement. And the reason that I've decided really beyond that just to put the podcast on hold for now

is simply because I want to be 100% committed to them.

And I also don't want to cheat you out of your time listening every morning.

There's probably a scenario where I could still do the podcast every single day,

but if I'm putting in a lot of time for them and then I end up finishing and I'm sitting

there at home at night and saying like, okay, well, I got to put together this podcast.

Like, what can I scrounge together and put up to make sound good? I just don't want to show

to get to that. And I worry a little bit in the last

12 to 18 months with the conflict between doing free public content along with the service

that the show maybe has lost a little bit of quality that was once appreciated by some listeners

in the past. And to maybe put that further at risk is something that worries me
