We have developed an entitlement mentality and never has it been put on display more than with this disgraceful

reparation board.

We have only half the story has ever been told. Here is a document that tells us the full story.

We are not post-racial.

A moment two years in the making, California's official task force on reparations

has delivered its final report to the state legislature.

Anyone who says that we are color blind, that we have solved the problem, I challenge you to read this document

and try and come out with that position.

The state legislature created the task force in the wake of George Floyd's murder

and the group took a look at four major issues impacting black Americans, health disparities,

mass incarceration, housing discrimination, and unjust land seizure and devaluation of black businesses.

And as the findings were released just ahead of July 4th, the section that's gotten the most attention

is the recommendation for financial compensation, direct financial reparations to total at least $1 million per person.

There are also more than a hundred other recommendations in the report from establishing universal health care

to implementing ring caps in historically red line neighborhoods to making election day a paid holiday.

But beyond the policy proposals, the report spends a lot of time explaining why reparations are necessary

for the descendants of enslaved black Americans and why the government is responsible for paying them.
