Things have totally turned on their heads. Lots of things have changed. And so we want to give you an update. We're going to have that at the end. truly is more going on than I even realized before we decided to do this update. There's so much to

The story we have this week is really fascinating. It has some of the most unique and just really upsetting, unsettling circumstances I've ever come across in a crime case. And as Melissa

kind of already said, she's already gone on even more, you know, deep dives on this since we record it the first time. And of course, we're all going to break all of that down in great detail. But just to kind of give you an overview of where we're going in the story this week, in January of 2011, a 27-year-old newly engaged Philadelphia woman named Ellen Ray Greenberg was found dead in the kitchen of her apartment with 20 stab wounds, including a fatal wound to her chest.

Strangely, her apartment was locked from the inside, and there were no signs of forced entry or any sign of a struggle.

Ellen had been dealing with feelings of stress and anxiety in the weeks leading up to her death,

so the police quickly ruled it as suicide.

But as you can imagine, with 20 stab wounds,

her family and many others have had plenty of doubt over that,

and they believe that Ellen's case is far from being resolved.

This story has been featured on Voices for Justice, and a popular true crime journalist and

YouTuber named Gavin Fish, who does a lot of deep dives, has put a lot of effort and time into

this case to obtain the court documents, and Haley, our lovely researcher, was able to actually use those documents in her research.

But there have actually also been some recent developments in the story, and Ellen's parents are passionate about sharing their daughter's case and just everything

they've gone through fighting for justice since her death. So we'll just jump right into the story of

Ellen Ray Greenberg. Ellen, who was born on June 23, 1983, was a vibrant and athletic young woman

who was raised in New Jersey before her family moved to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Ellen was the only child to parents Josh and Sandy, who both worked in the dental field.

Josh was a periodontist, and Sandy was a dental hygienist.

Ellen was known for her bubbly personality and for being a natural-born leader.
