We have an update on Derek lively from exit interviews and it's not great, but let's talk about it on today's one more thing of Lockdown Maps.

You are locked on the Dallas Mavericks. This is one of your host, Isaac Harris, covering the math for the last 10 years alongside my good friend Nick Engstead.

And today I'm talking about Derek lively. I love this guy so much.

He's such a fun personality. When he's healthy, he's a lot of fun with this Mavs team. We've already

had some fun moments with him as Mavs fans in that finals run. But unfortunately, man, he just

can't stay healthy.

And we got a small update from Jason Kidd on Sunday after the game against the Bulls, their last game of the season.

They did the exit interviews, which we've talked about over the past few days, different quotes and stuff that came out of those interviews.

And our friend Ron over at DLS asked Jason Kidd about the status and kind of what Derek lively means to this team.

And, you know, it's two separate questions, right?

Because I think anybody you ever talk to around the Mavs, teammates, coaches, front office,

when it talks, when they talk about Derek Lively, the person and what he means to this team, it is awesome.

Like his personality is so infectious, what he brings to the court, just all the stuff.

The status of him health-wise wasn't the best of answers from Jason Kidd.

Jason Kitt answering that question from Ron said that Lively is still in a boot. He's off crutches and Jason Kidd uses the words, hopefully

he can be in two shoes soon because he is still in a boot and he said, I don't know when or when or what to expect

from D live.

That's not an encouraging answer, right?

That's not what you want to hear.

We're talking about the last time we saw Derek lively on a basketball court was in November, what late November, a little bit before Thanksgiving.

And I think it was November 21st was the last game he played in.

And, you know, we soon get that announcement that Derek live is going to be out for the season.
