This is just going to be a quick and overdue update episode about the Breonna Taylor case

0:17.7

that I first covered in the summer of 2020. Today we're just really going to focus on the

0:23.1

Develop Minnes over the summer and the autumn and catch you up to where we are now. I recommend

0:29.9

listening to the first episode before this one because I'm just assuming you know the basics of

0:36.4

the case and what we covered and I'm not going to be recapping. Before we get to the grand jury,

0:43.2

2:00.0

integrity unit, which is the department that investigates officer involved shootings.

2:05.6

Some look at this incident report and the incorrect information in it and they say this is shady.

2:13.3

This is an attempt to document as little as possible so that a narrative could be formed later.

2:20.7

Others see it simply as sloppy. The official stance is that the errors were a technical glitch

2:29.3

as a result of the reporting program that they used when they created the paper file. The mayor

2:36.2

of Louisville said that the report was unacceptable and that it was things like this that

2:43.1

erode public confidence in the police department, which I think is a fair assessment
