Let me start with the rotation.

I mapped this out and I'm always afraid to map out rotations

two weeks in advance because I kind of learned my lesson a few years ago

when Jacob the Grom got hurt.

I was doing the show with Craig couple years ago and I said I got it all

lined up I got the grum second half in 2021 all lined up and yeah he proceeded to make fun of me but then it never happened because

Jake got hurt and almost became this joke that you can't plan something out like that

because something will happen that we are in

don't see coming that will change everything.

Now we are in the final stretch of this season.

There were two and a half weeks to go and I noticed something the other day

around the Yankees that kind of inspired me to do this with the Mets.

And that's the fact that when Aaron Boone announced that Garrett Cole was starting Saturday's game against the Boston Red Sox,

I started to do the math and I saw, oh, how brilliant is that?

He's going to start Saturday against Boston.

He's going to come back for Tuesday against the Orioles and then be available if they want to for game 162.

And I saw that and said, boy, I wonder how this rotation is currently constructed

if Carlos Mendoza has that figured out.

Now it's also very different.

The Yankees have an obvious, no question ace.

I think that right now most of us lean

towards the fact that Sean Manai is the ace of this team, but you can make a compelling argument for David Peterson despite his last start, and even Louis Severino with the way he's pitched recently.
