This is the last story of the year, and that means it's time to reveal our top three stories of 2023.

The ones you kids listen to the most.

The votes are in, and now here are the top three stories of the year.

In third place, the ice cream bike. Second place goes to say yes to everything.

And in first place, the most popular story of the year was the floor is lava.

Congratulations to both Willow and Mia for guessing two out of three correctly.

Very impressive.

And I'll admit, even I was surprised to see ice cream bike make the top three.

Not sure if anyone saw that coming.

Anyway, I really want to thank each and every one of you for tuning in this year.

This podcast grew bigger in 2023 than I ever imagine possible. And it's been a ton of fun sharing these goofy stories with you.

Today's story is called Up Until Midnight.

Let's get into it.

This is the story of two friends.

Skyler, a boy who really, really, really, really, really wanted to stay up until midnight, but could never make it happen.

And Axel, who had the opposite problem. He really, really, really, really wished he could fall asleep before midnight,

but could not make that happen either. Axel, my friend, I really want to stay up until midnight.

What is the secret? Skyler had asked. Axel paused to think for a moment. Well, as soon as my

head hits the pillow, my brain usually begins to think about everything I did that day. Then once it

has thought about everything I did that day, it starts thinking about everything I might do tomorrow.
