Summary

In this episode, Mike discusses the process for up-regulating your metabolism through nutrition and movement. We often hear about the metabolic adaptations that occur through low calories and extreme diets. But we rarely talk about the flip side of that. What happens when you eat more and move more? your host Mike Milner. In today's episode, we're going to talk about something that is

0:12.2

very fun.

0:13.0

It's fun because if you're like me and you enjoy food,

0:18.0

you probably have been wondering,

0:21.0

what is the upper limit that you can eat without gaining weight or better

So we see depressed immune system, lower sex drive,

1:17.0

reduction in sex hormones, reduced thyroid function,

1:21.0

things that are not too pretty and not super fun to deal with.

1:26.5

1:40.0

but if you're truly like actually eating 1,200 calories a day, eventually you will create a 1,200 calorie metabolism,

1:49.8

meaning that that will ultimately become your new adapted maintenance.

1:54.8

And I say adapted maintenance because it's not your real maintenance,

1:57.9

it's just what you have said to your body,
