Welcome to the sports motivation podcast. This is your host, Nees Showbo, and this is up on game where I put you up on game on some new tool, trick, tactic, mindset, philosophy, habit, something that I do that I believe you should do as well because I care about you and I want you to succeed. So I don't want to keep any secrets from you. I want to give you the keys. I want to give you the secrets.

0:26.8

So have you ever been to someone's house or hung out with someone? And they were doing something that you already knew about.

0:36.0

But you haven't done it in a while. And you're seeing them and you're like, and it reminds you of how powerful this thing really is.

0:38.5

That's what I'm putting you up on game on today is one of those things for me. So growing up, we didn't have a television and we ate all of our

0:44.6

dinners together. Like we always ate dinner together. And I remember when I would go to friend's house,

0:49.1

I would be kind of surprised at how often people didn't do that. It was kind of weird to me. It's like people just

0:55.6

kind of eating while watching TV. We didn't have a TV, so that was kind of weird already.

0:59.9

But it's like, you guys don't sit down and like talk to one another? That's kind of weird. Like,

1:03.0

when do you see each other? Because everyone's got school and, you know, all sorts of things and jobs and all that type of stuff. And what's funny now is that now I'm a husband,

1:13.3

I'm a father, we have five children, and our kids have all sorts of activities and all sorts

1:18.2

of things that they're doing. And especially the older ones, they're starting to develop

1:22.4

their own habits, their own routines, their own style. And sometimes that kind of takes them away from what it is

1:29.0

that we're doing as a family. So the thing that I'm putting you up on game on is very, very simple,

1:34.7

very, very practical, and very, very game-changing. And this is not just for those of you who have

1:39.9

families. This is for those of you who have husbands, wives, girlfriends, boyfriends,

1:46.7

even for those of you who don't have any of those. You're by yourself. The habit that I want to

1:51.7

put you up on game on is eating your meals together. So real quick, you might be wondering,

1:56.8

if I don't have anyone, what do you mean? Sit down and eat in silence. Put your phone

2:03.4

away if you're by yourself and sit in silence and enjoy your meal. Now, for those of you who

2:10.9

are not by yourself, which is most of you, you have a boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife, kids,

2:16.3

sit down at least one time a day and eat a meal

2:19.2

together, preferably breakfast. Even if you fast, there's days where I fast or sometimes I just
