Welcome to the Sports Motivation podcast. This is your host, Niyu Shobo. And today is up on game. This is where I put you up on game, meaning I introduce you to a tool, a trick, a tactic, a philosophy, a mindset, a song, an album, a restaurant, a piece of clothing, some little, something that I believe you should know because I care about you

0:23.2

and I want you to know that, right? So the way that I came up with this, my brother, big brother

0:28.3

Della, he always brags about whenever he introduces me to something or anyone for that

0:33.4

matter. And it's a point of pride for him. So I'm borrowing that for my bro and he put me up on

0:40.5

putting people up on game and now I'm doing that with you. All right. So what am I putting you up

0:44.6

on game about today? It's very simple. For those of you who have kids who have or not even

0:50.8

maybe if you didn't even have kids maybe this happened with you when you're

0:54.5

little you want to sleep with mommy and daddy right and of course when you're like an infant you kind of

0:59.7

have to to a certain degree or at least be in the same room as mommy and daddy now if you're not

1:05.2

careful as a mom and dad you will make your kid develop the habit of needing to sleep with mom and your daddy.

1:11.9

So if you're like those mothers who just need to cuddle with your baby every night,

1:15.7

what's going to happen is you're going to have a four-year-old sneaking into your bed every night

1:20.1

when you are trying to relax with your husband.

1:24.1

So I say this because it's important to develop the habit early on as a parent

1:28.5

of, you know, teaching your kids to sleep in their own bed, etc. Now, this is not an up-on game

1:34.7

that's designed to give you parenting advice. The reason why I bring up this analogy is because

1:39.1

some of you still have the habit of sleeping with your phone, meaning you have your phone in your bedroom.

1:46.4

Now, maybe you've gone so far as to say, you know, I'm going to put my phone across the room

1:51.2

and, you know, maybe use it as an alarm clock. I'm suggesting that you do not do this.

1:56.5

Otherwise, you're going to create the same dynamic as this kid who now has to sleep with

2:01.5

mommy and daddy and now you have a problem on your hands.

2:04.1

All right?
