Welcome to the Sports Motivation podcast. It is your host, Nees Showbo, and this is another episode of Up on Game. It's where I introduce you to some resource, some tool, something that I use that I think is cool that I believe you should use if you are looking to upgrade your life in some sort of way or another. All right? So what am I going to talk about today?

I grew up with no television.

My earliest memories of having a television was about three years old, and I remember we

used to dance to Michael Jackson videos in the living room.

And we had, of course, those TVs that had, like, the built-in shelf. You know what I'm saying?

Heavy is all get up and all of that. And then I remember my cousin came to live with us.

He was having some problems in school when my dad took the TV away. And when he left about a year

later, he never bought the TV back. So we grew up without a TV.

I'm very grateful for that.

And that also led to me whenever I went to my friend's house, I remember going to spend

the night at my cousin's Quincy's house and he would always want to hang out outside and

go play hoop.

And I would be literally stuck in his bedroom watching, not stuck, I would lock myself in

his bedroom watching Will Smith in like full house

and shit like that just because I love the idea of watching TV because I could never

watch it.

Now, so I'm someone who, I believe like anything, TV is a tool like your phone. If you use it properly, it's very, very beneficial. However,

it's very easy to abuse and it's very easy to get addicted to. So my relationship to TV in my own

house even has kind of been a little up and down, right? Like, I've had periods of time where

I've taken the TV away from my kids.

And that's funny. I remember that. I actually took it away. They were not happy about that.

And then I've had times where I've been more liberal. And now I'm more back to like, I'm getting
