Welcome to the sports motivation podcast. This is your host, Nees Showbo. This is another episode of Up On Game. It's where I introduce you to some tool, some resource, some person, some podcast, some YouTube channel, some movie, some brand of tea. We done done a lot of things here on Up On Game.

Like, the way that I grew up, I have my dad and my mom, of course.

My dad's from Nigeria.

He came here when he was 18 years old.

So he was the first of his brothers and sisters.

He met my mom. My mom is white. She grew up in San Diego. And my family was very much into service, if you will, right? So my dad had a nonprofit. My mom and dad actually had a school

at one point for a couple years. And my dad had a nonprofit

organization that basically helped youth. And it was based around education. So me and my brothers were

in school because we were in his programs all year round. We were in school all year round.

So after school program, summer school program, Saturday school, and then of course

Sunday school because we went to church as well. So anyway, my family is very much in the service and

we also didn't have a lot of money. Now, the cool thing about it was that we never felt poor,
