Welcome to the sports motivation podcast. This is up on game. It's where I put you up on a tool of resource, a song, a book, a website, a YouTube channel, something that I use that I feel is valuable that I want to put you up on game on or introduce you to so you can use it and improve your life as well. All right. Now, I'm not so naive as to

believe that your sport or your craft, whatever your craft is, is the only thing in your life. So I try to

introduce things that sometimes don't have anything to do with sports, don't have anything to do

with business, et cetera. So today I want to introduce you to a

book, all right? Now, I'm not going to go in detail on this book. That's why I didn't do a books and

bars on it. I just want you to get this book, all right? Because what this book did for me was it

literally set me on an entirely different path financially, and it was exactly what I needed,

what was missing in terms of my

knowledge and therefore, you know, my lack of strategy as it relate to money. All right? So at some

point or another, I don't know where you're at in terms of money, but I can just give you a

short term sort of version of what happened with me.

There was a period of time where I wasn't making a lot of money.

So I went from college to pretty typical college student

and had a little bit of cash on me, cutting hair and things like that.

But became an NFL player and had a lot of money.

Now, I didn't make millions and millions of dollars in the NFL.

I was on a rookie contract. But for me, that amount of money. Now, I didn't make millions and millions of dollars in the NFL. I was on a

rookie contract. But for me, that amount of money that I was getting was way more than I ever got

in my life and was actually more than I knew what to do with, quite frankly. Meaning, it wasn't like

I was drowning in money, but I didn't really know what to do with my money because no one had ever taught me. I didn't know how to manage the money that I was getting. So sure enough, a year later after out of the league,

I was now without money. I was broke like most NFL players. Even a lot of them who have millions,

they end up broke. That's not really cool. But it's the reality. So then what then what happened was i you know became a firefighter got
