So hello and welcome back to POD Save the Queen.

We are on location again.

I am your host Ann Gripper and I am at Kensington Palace and I could not

come back to Kensington Palace without inviting back a friend of the podcast, Amber Graffland who has been far too long since I've seen.

But it's lovely to have you back.

I'm very flattered that I always get to come to the really, really glamorous, grand places,

so thank you. So it's a very special reason to be here today and

the Historic Royal Palace's team have kindly let us in on a Monday when

there's nobody else here and we are joined by Matthew Story who is a curator at historic royal palaces,

but crucially is the curator behind the current special exhibition, Royal Style in the

making, which has some very, very, very exciting dresses in including probably still the most

famous royal wedding dress of all time.

Hello Annanamba it is great to be here and great to welcome you to Kensington Palace and to our beautiful historic

orangery which we've just restored so it's never looked better this beautiful white classical

18th century building and it's the perfect venue I think for

the exhibition which aims to take you behind the scenes.

So today we're going to have a little glimpse

through the window into the designer's workshop

to uncover the secrets behind the creation of royal fashion.

Because we see the finished product, but there's hours and hours and weeks of work that so often
