Summary

In this episode the crew of Strange Matters dives back into the realm of the paranormal and unknown, with four creepy tales of haunted artifacts, werewolves, angry poltergeists, and disturbed attic dwellers. These stories of unwanted guests will be sure to send chills down your spine.
The first story is that of the Hexham Heads, strange stone artifacts discovered that seemed to carry with them a dark curse. Several people who had ownership of these heads, and for a few unlucky individuals who just happened to be nearby, witnessed several unexplained and disturbing encounters. There are claims of ghostly and poltergeist activity connected with the stone heads, not to mention sightings of a werewolf creature that seems to follow them everywhere.
Next up is the infamous Man in the Attic, or the San Pedro Haunting. This story involves a woman named Jackie who is experiencing a literal house full of horrors, including unworldly noises, moving objects, ghostly sightings, and even walls dripping human blood. For those who agreed to investigate the house, their experiences would be much worse, and nearly fatal. This case is one of the most famous cases of paranormal and poltergeist activity in the United States.
The Jacksonville Clowns were a bizarre case that would terrify anyone who shares a phobia of clowns. A series of men, dressed up as clowns, was caught on several surveillance cameras approaching houses. Whether this was a meaningless prank or perhaps something more sinister is unknown to this day.
The last case is that of the Woman in the Ceiling. A paranoid man sets up a night vision camera in his apartment, in the process catching a woman descending from his loft’s attic space to eat his food and walk around his apartment while he slept. Though some claim this might be a hoax, the man still swears this disturbing intruder actually dwelled in his place for some time, all the time unknown to him.

0:51.5	Definitely freaked me out more than I thought they would.
0:55.0	I know probably most people have been listening for a while though I take more of a skeptical approach to these kind of paranormal stories,
1:02.0	but I mean just reading some of the research behind these and seeing
1:07.7	like you know actual pictures and videos in some of the cases I was pretty freaked out.
1:21.0	Yeah I agree I think most of the topics we discuss on our podcast are typically a little bit far-fetched, you know, paranormal, a little less rational, kind of supernatural in general.
1:27.1	However, these particular stories are, except for the first one, some of them are indisputable. It's just that we really don't know exactly what's going on.
1:37.0	Right, a lot of these take place, you know, in kind of private, like places where you think you would feel secure or safe
1:44.8	whether it be your house or your neighborhood or what have you so that kind of
1:48.9	adds a little bit of extra spooky factor to it. Right, right. These are definitely pretty frightening stories so
1:55.7	without further ado let's get into the first visitation of this episode unwanted guests.
2:07.0	So this first story is known as the Hexham Heads.
2:11.0	And I wanted to say thanks to Chris for suggesting this episode. It was definitely a new one for me and it was worth the read, worth the research.
2:21.0	So this story starts in Hexham, England in 1972 at the home of the Robson family.
2:28.4	And this family lived only 10 minutes away from where the legendary Wolf of Allendale roamed the woods.
2:36.4	Now to provide some backstory on the Wolf of Allendale, this wolf made headlines in 1904 in the same area where the Robson families living.
