It's funny you bring that up, Edwin.

I had Quinn Hillier on my daily show this morning, long-time

conservative columnist, good guy, good old, the old kind of Republican. And we debated the topic.

And the topic was, will this party of ours, our former party, remain a Maga Trumpy party forever or for at least my lifetime.

I said yes. He said there's a hope that it could change. Edwin, I came of age with Reagan.

I went off to college with Reagan. You probably didn't love Reagan. But if I asked you then and I

asked you now, you would no doubt say that Ronald Reagan

loved this country. No doubt. I always did. And you know what? I didn't always love what he did.

I loved what he said. His vision for America was fabulous. And I, again, I'm with you. I feel the same way

about every Democratic president in my lifetime. Jimmy Carter loved this country.

Barack Obama, even though I went at him with everything I had, he loved this country.

You're right. Now, this is the first political party in my lifetime that I believe is un-American.

And I know how smart and how much you value language.

I'm not saying they're anti-American, the Republican Party.

They're un-American in that they stand for things that are the antithesis of what this country is.

So that's a really good point you make, Edwin.

I always say my former party.

Right.
