be a longer first half episode because I didn't want to miss a minute. Three big

witnesses today in the Chad Day Bell trial. We all know Kay Woodcock is

Jay-J's grandmother and the sister of Charles Valo. Then we had Chad's mother

Sheila Daybell and right before lunch Heather Daybell took the stand, she is still in the middle of direct exam.

Let's jump in. Rob Wood shows Kay a photo of JJ. She says that's her grandson, J.J. Valo.

She goes on to explain that her son and his girlfriend had a baby, May 25, 2012,

Cain and Todd, and unfortunately they couldn't care for him.

So, J.J. came to live with Kay and Larry.

He was in the NICU six or seven weeks.

He was born 10 weeks early, and he was born addicted to drugs.

J.J. lived with him for eight or nine months after being discharged from the NICU.

She tells the jury that Charles was her older brother and at the time J.J. was born, Charles was married to Lori.

Charles and Lori were granted custody of J.J. in 2013, Kay and Larry,

after a lot of thought and discussion, decided that J.J. would be better living
