officer named John O'Keefe was found dead in the snow outside another officer's home. At first, it seemed

obvious. His girlfriend, Karen Reed, was to blame.

She'd hit him with her car while driving under the influence.

But as the investigation unraveled, so did the argument against Karen.

And before long, it became clear that the same people who'd sworn to uphold the truth had flat out lied.

This revelation left the people of Canton, Massachusetts at a crossroads,

because now they had to decide who to trust,

the officers they'd known for so long, or Karen, who was virtually a stranger.

People's lives are like a story. There's a beginning, a middle, and an end. But you don't always know which part you're on.

Sometimes the final chapter arrives far too soon, and we don't always get to know the real ending.
