Albuquerque became a haven for crime in the last decade or so. This has been made worse

by poor policy, reduction in police staff, and trying to solve jail overcrowding by releasing

repeat offenders. In 2019, Albuquerque had a rate of 12.3 murders per 100,000 people. This placed Albuquerque in the top 40 cities in the U.S.

for homicide. To make things worse, the rate of solved murders in 2019 was only 52%. This means that

nearly half of all murders in Albuquerque went unsolved. When I created this show, I did it to make a difference.
