Teresa Insana was last seen alive on October 26th, 2004.

She was 26 years old at the time and lived in Las Vegas, Nevada.

She'd been living and working there for several years ever since she'd moved there with a friend when she'd been in her early 20s.

Prior to that, she'd grown up in Niagara Falls, New York, where she'd lived with her parents and little sister.

Their family was close-knit, and she'd had a very happy childhood.

After high school, she'd earned a bachelor's in psychology from Binghamton University in Binghamton, New York. After graduating, she treated herself to a trip to the Western U.S. and fell

in love with Vegas, with its 24-7 energy and lively tourism industry,

so in love that she decided that after living her entire life in New York, she was ready for

someplace new and exciting. After returning home from her trip, she repacked her bags and gave

her family the news. She'd be heading out west again, indefinitely this time. She was going to begin her young

professional life in Vegas where she'd embark upon a career in sales. My first thought was,

Vegas, that's going to be a big city, a big change for her. Oh, yeah. But at the same time,

I'm thinking she's used to, to like large crowds and tourists constantly flooding through
