As always, I'm your co. Scott. Thelma Mooney was last seen alive on February 17, 2007. She was 85 years old at the time and lived in Ironton, Ohio.

Ironton is a small town in southernmost Ohio, home to about 10,000 people, located just

across the Ohio River from Kentucky, and not much more than a stone's throw from the West

Virginia border.

Thelma had raised her family in Ironton, and they remained close. Her son, Dan, lived just

two houses down from her on Thomas Street.

Having her family so close was especially welcome at this point in Thelma's life because she'd become a widow just six months before.

Her husband, Eugene, had died following a short illness at the age of 93.

His death had, of course, presented a huge change for Thelma, who had spent the

majority of her life with him. She'd been a teenager when they'd married. During the early years of
