enhanced edition of one of our early episodes, which features the Unsolved Homicide of Lisa

Al. The original edition was recorded in 2020, and we've revisited and re-recorded an episode on her case in 2025.

As I'm sure those of you who've been listening since the early days of Last Scene Alive have noticed,

our production and audio quality have improved significantly over the years.

were doing the best we knew how at the time however our best wasn't the best and we've learned a lot

since then we want to honor those victims by telling their stories with the production quality

they deserve so we've been completely remaking all of our early episodes, including this one.

Lisa Al was last seen alive on January 22nd, 1982.

She was 19 years old at the time and lived in Kailua Beach on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. Lisa had grown up on the island and at 19 years old she was at an exciting point in her

life where there were a lot of new beginnings, a lot of new steps toward independence and the shaping of

her adult life. She'd recently graduated from beauty college and had landed

a job as a hairstylist at a local salon, the Susan Beers salon, where she'd styled hair just a

stone's throw from the turquoise waters that eb against the shore of Kailua Beach. By late January,

she'd been working at the salon for just over a month. She'd also recently begun

driving, which had allowed her greater independence, freeing her to travel independently to
