Tamara Kingery was last seen alive on September 20th, 2014 in North Augusta, a town that lies just on

the South Carolina side of the South Carolina Georgia State line. Tamara, who everyone called Tammy,

was 37 years old and lived there with her husband and

their three children. She was a nurse employed by a nursing home and worked her last shift there on the day of her

disappearance, or part of it anyway. Her shift started at 7 a.m., but she left work just a couple

hours into her shift, stating that she didn't

feel well. In fact, she felt so ill that she didn't feel up to driving, so she called her husband

who came and picked her up. When she got home, she immediately lay down in bed. As anyone with

kids at home knows, though, it can be hard to get any rest during daylight hours when they're awake.

So, in order to give Tammy some peace and quiet, her husband, Park, took their two youngest kids,

both boys, one four and one-13, to run some errands. Their daughter, an older teenager, was

spending the night with a friend, so this left Tammy with the house to herself. When Park and the boys left, it was approximately 10 a.m.

When they returned less than two hours later, they found the house locked and their dog chained outside.

But when Park entered the house with the two kids, he quickly realized that things weren't as normal as they'd seemed upon approach.
