seen alive on June 14, 2003. She was just five years old and a native of Chisholm, Minnesota,

By and large, Chisholm is a safe place. For example, it's not unusual for the town to go for more than a

So it was a place where Leanna's parents, Kalyn and Chris, who was a local firefighter, probably

felt safe raising their four children, including the youngest Leanna.

On the day of Leanna's disappearance, her mom took her to a nearby lake, where they spent

hours enjoying a beautiful summer day by the water. By the time they arrived home, Leanna was tired
