Well, not really the first headline, but I'll lead with that.

Headline, fishing tournament ends an arrest after weights discovered in

large mouth bass. Texas game wardens arrested courtesy Daniels for a third-degree felony.

A run-of-the-mill bass fishing tournament in Texas quickly became a potential crime scene last weekend.

The Lake Fork Lure Company Tournament is a Baff's fishing competition

that awards hourly cash prizes for fish caught by competitors. The total prize value of the tournament

exceeds $10,000. Wow, that's a lot. During the event in Wood County, Texas, organizers flagged a

catch from angler Curtis Lee Daniels 45.

Daniels had already won two hourly prizes, totaling 2,500.

According to a statement from Texas Parks and Wildlife, a metal detecting wand, like an airport

security, maybe we could get TSA out of the airports and to the bass fishing competitions.

A metal detecting wand alerted officials to a potential foreign object in one of Daniel's fish.

The tournament organizers called the Texas game wardens who arrived shortly.

Wardens conducted a necropos. Necropsy, necropsy, I don't know how to

pronounce it, they autopsyed the fish, and discovered three weights in its stomach that showed

no signs of erosion, the Texas Parks and Wildlife said. Three point seven five pound weights

added two point two five pounds to the large mouth bass. Now, this is the key point.

If convicted, Daniels could face no more than 10 years and no fewer than two years in prison,

as well as a fine up to $10,000. His bond was set at $20,000. Okay, in New York City,
