0:40.8	So before I get into this, I want to ask a question of you.

0:49.3	Is personal choice, whatever you want to do, really the way that you go, or do you actually
0:57.8	bow to a higher authority? Because what we're going to talk about today is so unpopular in
1:05.4	many circles, particularly the culture's circles, that you might have to check yourself, because if what we're
1:12.2	about to say is biblical and you call yourself a Christian, you're going to have to agree with
1:18.9	what we're going to say, even though the culture and maybe even your own personal sentiment is
1:24.5	against what we're going to say today. So with that setup, I want to start in
1:31.2	1 Peter chapter 2, because in 1st Peter chapter 2, Peter's talking about the fact that Christ
1:39.5	is the cornerstone. And for believers, we say, that's great. Anyone who believes in him will not be put to
1:48.3	shame. That's what verse six says. First Peter chapter two, verse six. And then verse seven says this.
1:57.1	So the honor is for you who believe, but for those who do not believe, the stone
2:05.0	that the builders rejected, and the stone is Jesus, has become the cornerstone and a stone of
2:12.7	stumbling and a rock of offense, a rock of offense.
2:20.2	What we say today, if it offends you, it might be because you don't have a biblical
2:25.0	worldview, at least not one that is complete.
2:29.7	And somebody who is extremely articulate on the issues we're going to talk about today is my guess.
