Summary

Money is simply a tool, and it does not carry a spirit on it until we take possession of it. If we are under the influence of mammon, which is an evil spirit in direct contradiction to God, that spirit will be passed on to the money we have. If we are directed by the spirit of God, his spirit will influence our management of money. Because these spirits are in complete opposition to each other, we face a decision as to which one we will serve.

0:24.6	Luke chapter 16 versus 10 you ought to have a dent there by now
0:30.9	Luke 16 and 10. We've been talking about uncovering the spirit of mammon and yet I want to tweak it a little bit because what we're really doing is unmasking the spirit of mammon, you know?
0:47.0	As we get into this tonight, I think we're going to get some answers to some things that I think will really, you know,
0:58.0	bring about a conclusion on some things religion has taken and just kind of done some things with it.
1:04.0	Let's begin in Luke 1610 he says he that is faithful in that which is least
1:09.2	is faithful also in the much and he that is unjust in the lease is unjust also in the much now we've talked
1:16.1	about the importance of context that the application of a scripture is going to be based on the context that that scripture

1:27.5	And so the application of verse 10 is going to be based on the context of the entire chapter and even some things
1:34.8	before that. But Jesus here is talking about a a steward who was not faithful with his master's money and he called money the
1:48.4	least so the Lord this word least is not you know well the category it doesn't mean you can take it out of
1:55.2	its context and then just put in anything in there you want to put in there now there
2:00.2	will be a lot of truths like you can say well you know you got to be faithful
2:04.0	of a little thing before you can you know be successful at a bigger thing that's true but
2:08.8	that's not what Jesus was talking about here.
2:11.8	Jesus specifically in verse 10, stay there until I, in
2:15.9	verse 10 he specifically was talking about money and he calls the least money
